Melbourne, el final de nuestra ruta por Australia
Llegamos a Melbourne en bus desde Sydney. Antes de salir ya nos habían dicho de la rivalidad existente entre Sydney y Melbourne por ser la ciudad más representativa de Australia... lo sentimos Melbourne! Además nos habían comentado el extraño clima que nos acompañaría, en un mismo día podías tener lluvia, viento, sol, calor, frío y si tienes suerte: nieve, casi como una escena de la película "Notting Hill". Aunque no lo creímos nos hizo mucha gracia. Ya entenderíamos más adelante que no mentían, aunque no fuimos de los suertudos.

Aunque nos gustó más Sydney, hay que decir que Melbourne es una ciudad preciosa y tiene mucho que dar. Encontrabas de todo, desde cositas fashion hasta mercaditos donde podías comprar de todo en souveniers.

Y nosotros tuvimos suerte y nos encontramos un monedero bastante particular en sus calles.

Tuvimos también la suerte de haber visto una exposición de arte aborigen y así conocer un poco más de su cultura ancestral. Aunque no tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar la parte central de Australia, al menos nos acercamos un poco a sus costumbres. En este museo pudimos apreciar obras de arte tanto antiguas como contemporáneas pero siempre con el estilo propio de los aborígenes y pudimos conocer más sobre sus significados.

El gran punto a favor de Melbourne es su tren gratuito. Lo esperas en las estaciones establecidas y te subes, si quieres puedes dar una propina al conductor. Y nos es un tren normal, es muy pintoresco, al igual que los trenes restaurantes...

En fin, Australia es un gran país, no solo en tamaño. Pudimos ver animales que solo ellos tienen, como también pudimos sentir la calidez de su gente. Por todo lado te encontrabas con gente amable, dispuesta siempre a ayudar sin esperar nada a cambio y siempre con una sonrisa. Aunque contrastaba con la penosa situación en la que se encuentran la gran mayoría de los aborígenes. Nos vamos también con un pequeño mal sabor de boca al ver como la Gran Barrera de Coral va muriendo y desapareciendo poco a poco.
